Emerging Albany talent Luke Mowaljarlai Jr has returned home after helping the Flying Boomerangs take a clean sweep of their exhibition games in Melbourne last week. Mowaljarlai Jr and Lake Grace youngster Jackson Callope were both part of the Flying Boomerangs team that beat the World Team at Trevor Barker Oval in Melbourne twice last week. Playing a variety of positions across the two games, Mowaljarlai Jr found plenty of the ball as one of six WA representatives in the Boomerangs team. The 15-year-old and his teammates were too strong in the opening game, winning 14.8 (92) to 6.7 (43) at full-time last Tuesday. In their second match on Friday the Boomerangs were big winners in wet conditions, prevailing 10.14 (74) to 1.4 (10).
